Maintenance Electrical Engineer
This opening is in our Kawneer (TRACO) business line located in Cranberry Twp., PA. We are the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
The Maintenance Electrical Engineer will be a positive contributor with solid background and performance credentials working in a multi-disciplined environment within the maintenance organization focused on improving equipment reliability while providing guidance and direction for compliance with all safety standards and applicable work practices.
This is an overnight technical role and will work the 1 0pm-6am shift
Provide technical assistance to maintenance, planners and operations in the form of specific, technical data on machinery configuration and performance.
Apply ABS principles to identify and implement improvements to plant systems.
Maintain awareness of industry consensus, plant, corporate, government safety, health regulations, and policies and initiate department action to insure compliance with these regulations.
Provide technical leadership on safety teams as required and contribute to identifying and implementing solutions (i.e. Low Voltage Standard, Safe Electrical Practices, etc.).
Manage assigned contract maintenance services as required.
Provide leadership for capital projects by writing and maintaining location equipment specifications, ensuring parts standardization, refine PM/PdM documents as supplied by vendors, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Minimum5 years maintenanceexperience
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical PLC based control systems, electrical motor circuits, VFD's and networks.
Good mechanical skills and understanding of hydraulic systems and logic.
Ability to complete small projects from inception, and supervise contractors and hourly crafts personnel.
Ability to recognize and replace obsolete parts with current offerings.
Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices along with reliability based maintenance.
Ability to teach hourly crafts personnel to improve their understanding and troubleshooting skills.
