This opening is in our Kawneer manufacturing plant in Cranberry, PA. We are the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. The Process Engineer is accountable for providing process and technical assistance, focused in the Glass Tempering, Extrusion, Paint, Anodize and Waste Water areas of the facility. The incumbent will utilize Process Management and best practice tools to develop, implement, monitor and sustain efficient manufacturing processes. The incumbent will also provide guidance, coaching, and technical assistance to operators, supervisors and managers in their respective areas.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for reporting the critical process status on specified frequencies;
Responsible for fostering continuous improvement utilizing Process Management designed experiments, SPC, Cpk;
Recognized expert in the area process technology, provide technical guidance to management and peers in areas of current or potential needs of the plant;
Responsible for daily interaction and communication of issue with manufacturing, maintenance, facilities personnel;
Providing creative, innovative and comprehensive problem-solving capability;
Responsible for determination of the root cause of any deviation from critical process specifications and provide technical support to Process Engineering to resolve related issues;
Institute proper project monitoring, follow up and feedback systems to insure financial and business targets are met, driving high performing processes of excellence;
Responsible for control and approval of process control plans;
Assisting in setting up visual management, Standard operating procedures and 5s to assist in controlling all critical variables;
Manage the capital budget. Assisting project managers to ensure that all RFAs are written to the highest standard, providing up to date forecast and completion of projects on time;
Responsibilities of fixed capital SPA which include confirming all financial regulations are met, completing all ASAT and maintaining all physical assets on property;
Develop and drive the Process Management which involves the design, improvement, monitoring, and maintenance of the locations critical processes to bring them up to the highest levels of excellence.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing and / or heavy industrial environment;
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution;
Minimum of 1 year of experience managing a capital budget;
Certified Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
