Arconic has an exciting opportunity for a Product Cost Financial Analyst - Automotive to join our Globall Rolled Products (GRP) business unit in Davenport, IA.
Arconic's Global Rolled Products (GRP) Business Unit produces the widest variety of aluminum sheet and plate products in the world. Our aluminum is the foundation for many products serving customers in a wide range of industries, including Aerospace, Building and Construction, and Automotive Systems and Distribution.
The Product Cost Financial Analyst will support Arconic Automotive and report to the Global Marketing Director - Automotive, with daily direction/interaction with Operations, Inside Sales, and Supply Chain Management and will support customers in the U.S. and possibly abroad. Our goal at Arconic Automotive is to work with our customers to help them build superior vehicles that consumers will demand. We accomplish this through design, engineering and product solutions that provide maximum flexibility, systems cost savings and a simplified production process.
Providing product manufacturing cost analysis based on optimization of flow path across rolling operations for production of customer products according to required specifications.
Maintaining cost data information system for inclusion in customer price quotations for commercial plan achievement.
Defining opportunities for cost savings to optimize EBIDTA margin improvement and maximize commercial opportunity.
Assisting with automotive closure and components, heat treat and non-heat treat sheet marketing activities for North American Rolled Products.
Supporting Marketing Director with analysis involving competitors, pricing, sales, methods of marketing, existing and potential customer preferences, economic conditions, advertising, distribution channels and other factors that may influence future sales.
Analyzing data and making recommendations based on findings.
Reviewing products on a flow path level to ensure that waste is identified, and eliminated thereby maximizing profitability.
Build intimate relationships with Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality, OSPs, Procurement, and Flowpath Team Members.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations, finance, or engineering
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Marketing from an accredited institution
5 years or more of experience in operations or technical field with experience in rolling mill manufacturing process
Basic understanding of automobile chassis and structures
Advanced Excel skills
