The Production Planner is responsible for managing workflow to ensure customer requirements are met. This includes both outsourced and internal processes.
Use checklist (provided by Manufacturing Manager) to make sure parts are ready to run when they arrive on the input schedule
Coordinate with Engineering and Layout to ensure that they understand what is needed tomake schedules
Coordinate all outplant shipments
Communicate needs for re-input (i.e., a few molds were short-cast) to Master Scheduler
Inform Manufacturing Manager of all problems that will get in the way of our plant meeting
Establish compressed plans to meet customer requirements and monitor those plans.
Assist in Synchronous Manufacturing Improvements
Perform all other duties as assigned
Associates Degree from an accredited institution
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder')

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Effective oral and written communication skills
Intermediate Excel skills
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
A self starter, detail oriented person
