Supervise, lead and coordinate activities of assigned employees engaged in forging, machining, transporting and inspecting work in process in order to effectively meet company goals and objectives. Plans and coordinates sequences of operations and flow of product within plant. Trains assigned employees on essential job duties, work methods and procedures.

Manage resources within given area of responsibility to ensure staffing and equipment readiness levels match business activity levels.
Coach and motivate employees. Evaluate employee performance and provide disciplinary action as required.
Promotes, maintains, and enforces safe and healthy working conditions for all employees in accordance with regulatory requirements and Company standards.
Provide operational input and guidance to technical staff for new product development.
Maintain a high standard of product quality in accordance with ISO and the company Quality Manual.
Identify and execute cost savings initiatives to impact business and operations goals positively.
Assign work according to designated priorities in order to maintain scheduled completion dates.
Orient, train and instruct all employees in the safe and efficient performance of their duties.
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, processes and complete attendant paperwork.
Prepare daily production reports, employee time sheets and maintain appropriate records.
Maintain good working relationships with fellow supervisors, quality control and inspection personnel, in order to ensure a continuous flow of required productivity throughout the plant.
Work with the plant team to drive continuous improvement through TPM and 5S with an open dialogue and a bias for action.
Other duties as assigned.
Rotating Shifts may be required to cover specific situations
Directly supervises 20+ employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited Institution
Minimum 2 years of manufactuing experience
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Bachelor’s degree from a accredited institution
Experience in the forging industry
Lean Manufacturing concept experience.
2 years supervisory experience
Exposure to Theory of Constraints (TOC) Throughput and Inventory Management
