Maintenance Project Leader

Arconic is currently in search of a Maintenance Project Leader to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) business unit in Lancaster, PA.
The Maintenance Project Leader is accountable for providing leadership and direction to contracted services working to support Maintenance and Production Departments to meet the business need for the efficient production of metal in an Arconic Business System (ABS) environment. Under the direction of the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling leadership, the Maintenance Project Leader is responsible to ensure a safe and productive environment.
Lead the contractor work crews in safe completion of all work activities.
Ensure performance goals are aligned to department business objectives and communicated to the team.
Engage and lead contracted services through Human Performance principles (HP).
Work closely with support resources to ensure the needs of the teams are being met.
Act as a backup for other Project Leaders.
Work with schedulers and production for work windows in order to execute work.
Estimate and plan all work performed by contractors in a cost-effective manner
Provide parts as necessary for contracted jobs.
Backup to Kitters and Planners as necessary.
Monitor Triple I & E investigations, fill out relevant paperwork, and facilitate corrective actions.
Review orders with vendors.
Update contractor database
Understand and follow PESHR requirements.
Coach and hold contractors accountable for the application of all safety rules and regulations.
Ensure that EHS incidents and quality issues are appropriately investigated and corrective actions implemented on a timely basis.
Maintain awareness of outage plans and communicate timelines to the Scheduler and Outage Coordinators.
Act as a link in the teams Help chain, includes supporting plant manufacturing activities through on-call and / or call-in activities
Report any problems, start-up issues or abnormal conditions; recommend counter-measures and solutions.
Support the team in investigating EHS incidents, pulling the help chain as defined by EHS and Area procedures.
Minimum Years of Experience:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field
Strong electrical experience
2 years Maintenance Project Leadership and Maintenance Planning experience
Strong project management skills
Ability to interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics and equipment specifications.
Working knowledge of OSHA, Arconic standards, and ISO9000 requirements.
Demonstrated application of advanced technical knowledge of Oracle eAM or other computerized maintenance management system software
Understand environmental policies and safety requirement. This includes ASAT, LTT, and SMACT Reporting.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Excellent root cause problem solving skills
Ability to lead and work as a team
Minimum Education Required:
High School or GED
Minimum Travel Required:
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience and support of maintenance systems in a manufacturing environment
