Arconic Credit Manager in Norcross, Georgia
- The primary responsibility of this position is to lead a team of 6-8 credit professionals who manage credit risk and drive cash collections for Arconic’s North American Building and Construction Business Unit.This is a “working manager” role and the incumbent is expected to manage a measured portfolio of accounts directly while leading the team and assisting teammates in difficult situations and ensuring the team collaborates well with the commercial organization, operating locations, and external customers.
Major Activities :
Directly managing a given portfolio of assigned customer accounts and overseeing the Credit and Collection activities on the entire BCS NOA portfolio which consists of AR generated by three major plant locations.
Leading the hiring, training, development and ongoing management of assigned staff.
Building relationships, communicating effectively and encouraging the sharing ideas and knowledge with direct reports and peers as well as internal and external customers.
Evaluating changing economic conditions impacting the credit risk environment and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies (e.g. secured transactions, construction liens and bonds or other tools such as guarantees or documentary Letters of Credit.
Escalating non-standard issues, critical collection problems and high-risk issues to the Director, Global Credit Management toward appropriate Credit, Accounts Receivable, and/or BU Manager(s) in a timely manner.
Ensuring the team’s adherence to the policies and procedures established by Arconic and complete internal self-assessments of compliance and provide constructive input and recommendations where enhancements to existing credit/accounts receivable processes may be improved.
Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including those who may be upset or have objectives contrary to those of Arconic.
Keeping abreast of benchmark credit/collection techniques and technologies, particularly in the Building & Construction industry in North America and bringing recommendations (with business case) forward for implementation.
Using multiple credit platforms and interfacing with a customer base that can be difficult.
Prioritizing multiple needs while working to aggressive goals under time constraints.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration/management from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 7 years in credit/collections, finance, or commercial/customer-support role in the Building and Construction industry.

10+ years experience in a credit/collection role or other financially-related field of work.
