Buy and Payment Center Specialist


Position Description

Primary Purpose

  • This position resides in the Global Shared Services (GSS) – Financial Services organization and is responsible for supporting the US Customer Service team within the Buy and Payment Team globally. ​

  • Customer Service Functions include transactional buying, value-added buying and negotiations, customer service via phone and email, and developing/implementing process improvements.

Major Activities/Key Challenges

  • Become the subject matter expert in full end-to-end requisition-to-pay process.

  • Manage customer inquiries and solve complex problems.

  • Plan, execute, and manage assigned projects to improve relationships with internal customers

  • Manage and organize training for customers/locations as needed.

  • Review and analyze Daily Management boards for areas of opportunity.

  • Learn and deploy Arconic’s standards, policies, procedures, and optimized processes.

  • Manage key metrics of the Service Level Agreement with our business customers to ensure metrics are met per the agreement.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of prior supply chain, IT, or finance internship OR 1 year experience working at Arconic.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

  • Knowledge of the requisition-to-pay process.

  • Knowledge of Excel macros, VBA, and querying tools.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
