Quality Systems Administrator


Position Description


Under the guidance of the Quality Manager, responsible for the control of quality audit program and Quality support in accordance with Company standards in order to assure the Quality Systems and controls are appropriate and maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : This is not intended as a comprehensive list; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities.   • Quality release of raw material through MetOK in Vantage.

  • Maintain Approved Vendor Listings (AVL) in Vantage and QPulse including supplier certifications.

  • Leads formal external audits of supplier’s, documents audits, and all related follow up activities. This requires interpretation of supplier management and operating practices and determination of conformity to Schlosser Forge standards.

  • Conducts internal systems and process audits.

  • Participate in preparation and on-site external audits.

  • Perform Follow-up audit on Corrective Actions.

  • Creates, modifies and issues internal process procedures, specifications and other documentation.

  • Communicates company expectations and requirements to Suppliers.

  • Participate in corrective action with suppliers.

  • Serves as the supplier liaison on the AFSR-RC requirements.

  • Executes the preparation, distribution, tracking and filing of questionnaires, surveys, and other means of evaluating supplier quality systems for compliance.

  • Monitors and reports supplier performance.

  • Participate in preparation and on-site external (customer/regulatory) audits.

  • Support function for First Article submittals.

  • Performs other duties as assigned


This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a technical or business school and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Must be able to read engineering drawings and specifications, have knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerancing principles and have the ability to use measuring devices common to the manufacturing industry. Experience and knowledge of OEM (PWA, Rolls Royce, Snecma and GE Quality Requirements).


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to perform conversion calculations (e.g. metric to inches, Celsius to Fahrenheit). Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to perform root cause analysis.


Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Familiar with ERP systems (Epicor Vantage)


AS9100 or ISO9001 Certified Quality Auditor Preferred
