This Metrology Technician position is located in Plant 5 Ti-Cast Operation in Whitehall, MI. The position will be on 2nd shift. Metrology Technician will operate CMM and structured light inspection machines to perform dimensional inspections on titanium structural castings to support production. Additional responsibilities will include running dimensional inspection programs, datum machine balance programs, and First Article Inspections.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of two years continuous work experience, post high school

  • Successfully meet the standardized TABE testing requirements. If applicant possesses a minimum of an associate degree, testing is not required.

  • Basic proficiency Microsoft Office applications

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced math skills in geometry and trigonometry

  • Experience interpreting blueprints and inspection requirements through a knowledge of GD&T

  • Basic Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar software)

  • Basic Proficiency in programming / operating CMM or other equipment

  • Operation of basic metrology equipment.
