The Supervisor Development Program (SDP) is an 18-24 month Whitehall rotational development program designed to introduce new Supervisors to our core business processes.
This program is designed to provide a pipeline for future Operations Leadership positions.
During this program, individuals will participate in a series of developmental assignments which will allow them to:
gain necessary experiences needed to perform the role as a first line supervisor including production and manning scheduling, daily assignments, time and attendance, and employee issues.
be exposed to manufacturing situations and involved in issue resolution
job shadow with other roles to see how production impacts them and vice versa (i.e., production planning, quality, safety, supply chain, engineering, finance, etc).
take on a variety of manufacturing challenges and deal with complex employee relations issues.
At the end of the program, Supervisors will be placed in a similar role at one of our Arconic Whitehall plants.
Associates Degree from an accredited institution.
Must be able to work off shift (2 nd , 3 rd , and week-end crew).
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Minimum of one year of leadership experience
Minimum of one year industrial/manufacturing experience
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, have good team building skills, excellent people skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, technically oriented.
Must be energetic and a self-starter, able to promote and implement change, have good PC skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to promote a continuous improvement atmosphere as well a a safe work environment
